FAQs

Your questions, answered honestly

If you don't see your question here, just get in touch — we're happy to explain anything in plain English.

Not at all. Everything we do is designed for business owners and managers, not IT specialists. We ask straightforward questions and explain our findings in plain English. If you have IT support, our reports are structured so they can follow up easily too.
Yes. The mini check is genuinely free and comes with no obligation. You'll answer a few simple questions and we'll send back a quick risk snapshot with 3–5 priority recommendations. If a paid report would help, we'll say so — but there's no pressure to continue.
The £99 Starter Cyber Risk Report is a focused review across the core areas — email, passwords and MFA, backups, devices, website, and staff awareness — with a plain-English report and a prioritised action checklist. The £299 Full Cyber Health Audit goes deeper: an evidence-based review, a risk register, control-gap analysis, a prioritised action plan, and a client-ready report with a review call. The Full Audit suits businesses that want a thorough picture or need something to show clients or insurers. If you need to go further, the £599 Business Cyber Risk Audit and £999 Cyber Resilience Audit & Action Plan add supplier risk, GDPR and continuity reviews, an improvement roadmap, and a management-ready summary — see the services page for full details.
Indicative turnaround times once we have what we need: the free mini check is returned within 24 hours; the Starter Cyber Risk Report takes about 1 week; the Full Cyber Health Audit about 2 weeks; the Business Cyber Risk Audit about 3 weeks; and the Cyber Resilience Audit & Action Plan around 4 weeks. Ongoing Cyber Support runs on a monthly basis. Exact timings depend on your size and how quickly we can gather information, and we'll confirm them when we scope your work.
Our core service is clear assessment and prioritised, practical recommendations. Many of the quick wins are things you or your existing IT support can do yourselves, and we explain how. With our Ongoing Cyber Support plan we also help track remediation over time. For larger pieces of work, we can point you towards suitable options.
No — and you should be cautious of anyone who claims they can. No service or product can remove all cyber risk. What we can do is help you understand your risks clearly and reduce them with practical steps, which makes incidents less likely and easier to recover from. We provide guidance and recommendations, not a guarantee against cyber incidents.
We only collect the information we need to carry out your check or audit and to contact you about it. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. We handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time. We're happy to put our data-handling terms in writing before any paid work begins.
We focus on UK small businesses and SMEs — including owner-managed firms, charities, clinics and practices, agencies, and local service businesses. If your business relies on email, devices, and cloud tools, we can almost certainly help.
The £99/month Ongoing Cyber Support plan includes quarterly reviews, policy refreshes when things change, staff awareness content, remediation tracking, and email support for questions along the way. It's designed for businesses that want to keep improving rather than treating security as a one-off. You can cancel with one month's notice.
No — we're a focused, lean practice, and we're upfront about that. It's part of why we can offer clear, affordable, jargon-free advice without enterprise overheads. As we grow and earn client feedback and accreditations, we'll show them openly on the site rather than overstating who we are today.
The easiest first step is the free mini cyber check. If you'd rather talk first, contact us and we'll help you choose the right option — no pressure either way.
